What is Doctor On Call?

When Maple City Health Care Center and Vista Community Health Center are closed, you can call Doctor On and speak with a doctor. A doctor will talk with you any day of the week at any hour of the day or night.

Sometimes you can speak with your own doctor from Maple City Health Care Center or Vista Community Health Center. Sometimes it’s a different doctor, but it’s always a doctor who lives in Goshen.

How do I use Doctor On Call?

  1. Call 533-4146 whenever the health center is closed -- any time of the day or night, any day of the week.

  2. When you call this number, an operator will answer. Give the operator your name, your phone number and the name of your doctor. Your Vista or Maple City doctor or a different doctor will call you back in less than 30 minutes. If not, call 533-4161 again.

What should I do if I think someone in my family needs to go to the emergency room?

It’s a good idea to call Doctor On Call first because the doctor can tell you for sure if it’s a good idea to go to the emergency room.

Why is Doctor On Call sometimes better than the emergency room at the hospital?
